• Balancing a birth weight of 76 pounds with a weaning ratio of 112 and an adjusted 356 weight of 1,432 pounds for a ratio of 111, ultrasound measured Smokey as a 17.0 square inch adjusted UREA area for a ratio of 114 to give him the same explosive growth genetics and added muscle genetics as his sire Volunteer whose progeny headlined the 2022 SydGen fall sale with a fall yearling daughter commanding the highest bid at $60,000 while the $35,000 top-selling spring heifer calf was also a daughter of Volunteer with six daughters compiling an average price of $22,283 and six fall yearling sons sold for an average bid of $9,417 while five spring bull calves recorded an average price of $6,090.
• In the outstanding 2023 Brinkley bull sale, 26 sons of Volunteer sold for an average of $12,077 and included the $30,000 top-seller and the $26,000 second high selling bulls.
